Ok so you must be wondering how it went … the song was good … the potential to be great is there … but not my assignment … darn … I have to keep in mind the focus and goal of this project which is to keep Mighty J … in the style of Mighty J.  This has been quite difficult for me as I’m stuck in a creative realm that’s a bit outside the box that I’m working/living in. It hasn’t deterred me from writing what I need to write in the style that I need to write in, but I am struggling with staying on point with an island ballad. It’ll come … trying to think/remember the type of music I used to create (with Milo Shade) and used to perform has brought some relief … not a whole lot but some.  Growth … although difficult when in a different direction will be the crutch I lean on to reflect and see where I have come from and capture that previous magic from which I have spawn.  Hopefully … I don’t make it harder than it really is … the key … which I’m still searching for … is simplicity… and yes … it is easier said then done.
