Everybody Wang Chung tonight…

20 05 2007

hahaha… (duh, dut, ching)… i hear Kapono hitting the snare and cymbal to remind me of the lame jokes i like to tell.  As a reference to that retarded Wang Chung song… we had lots of fun tonight!   We played for a graduation party in Kapolei.  I’ve been to many-a-graduation party in my time (not as many as Mailani, GUARANTEED!) and this one, for the amount of people that the place could actually hold, was over the top.  It’s nice to see support from family and friends… folks so proud that another member of the family has completed another chapter in their life and will be starting a new one… maybe on to college, maybe working right away…. whatever the case, not everyone gets the same opportunities.  This girl whose party we played for, she’s fortunate to have such a supportive family.  I hope we get to bump into her 5 years from now and see her as a successful young adult… i guess that would even depend on how you’d view success.  Geez… living another day could be successful.  So yeah.   If we even bump into her at all.  I guess she’d be successful for making it that far.  Wow!  That sounds pretty grimm.  Grimm’s fairy tales???   I’m all about RANDOM tonight people!!!

Tomorrow we play in town for the Hawaii Book and Music Festival.  Hahahaaha… today I went on their website (www.hawaiibookandmusicfestival.org) and where it lists the participants, I noticed that they Misspelled Mailani, Tiki AND my name wrong!  How is that even possible???? lol.  Oh well.  It’s an honor to be listed and playing.  I really hope the people there dig our music.  Heck.  I hope people will be there.  hahahaa.  ok, seriously, time to get back to counting down the timer…
Peace out homies,

J.
