..wow…what a busy weekend for us…

3 gigs=2 gigs for Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Hard Rock Cafe (Lahaina & Honolulu), raising money for the Pacific Cancer Foundation and Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation + Fundraiser for Halau Na Mamo O Pu’uanahulu’s Annual Halauween Spooktacular Fundraiser at Rumours Night Club.

Half of the band arrived in Kahului on Friday morning and Mai, J and Ponz visited KPOA’s midday show with Uncle Boy. Poor me, I had to work, however, I did make a special call to briefly chat with the girls and Uncle about MighTy J and promote our gig in Lahaina. Thank you KPOA for making it a MighTy J day and playing multiple tracks off our album!!!!

We were fortunate enough to have Lost at Sea, a reggae/rock/hip hop band open for us in Honolulu. Mad props to these boyz..they are all talented, down to earth and we loved their fresh sound. Hope to rock the stage with you folks again soon!!!!

I’m hella tired…but thrilled to have been able to perform at all of these events…showing some MighTy J lovin to the good causes!!! We hope that everyone that attended all of our events enjoyed themselves and our music.

We are proud to be given the opportunity to perform for a good cause “Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” raising money for Pacific Cancer Foundation and Susan G. Komen. This will be our FIRST appearance on the island of Maui!!!! Please come and support MighTy J at HARD ROCK CAFE-Lahaina, this Friday, October 26th, 2007..AND…at HARD ROCK CAFE-Honolulu, on Saturday, October 27th, 2007. MighTy J rocking the stage from 11pm-12am…Hope to see you there homies!!!

MTJ Trivia Challenge - Round 1

MTJ Trivia Challenge

Hey MTJ Homies…

If you haven’t had the chance to hit the Shoutbox yet…please stop by to chat, say hi to Mai, T and J…or whatever..don’t be shy…our regular Shoutbox visitors are kool kats!!! hahaha…

Last night during a chat session with g3mini, Kehau421 and Housey in the Shoutbox…we decided to play an impromptu round of MTJ Trivia Challenge.

I started off with Question #1: What are the lyrics of the first couple lines of the track “Before I Let Go?”  g3mini wrote back first..with “Stuck in the cycle once again..say you’re trying but we’re still just friends….” According to g3mini this is one of her favorite tracks.  :)

Next, was Question #2: What is MTJ’s drummer/music directors full name? Kehau421 jumped in with Kapono Na’ili’ili and won a MighTy J sticker!!!

Everyone had their buzzers ready…for Question #3: What is the name of the song that follows “Girls Night Out?” g3mini buzzed in with “My Love”…one of Housey’s favorite songs!!! g3mini won a MighTy J sticker for her answer.

The last question of the night..was an open-book question. I told them that they could find the answer on either the MighTyJmusic or MighTy J Myspace site.  Bonus question: What was the name of the restaurant that Mai, T and J took Rai to for dinner? ..Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo…HAHAHA…Actually, only after a couple minutes passed, g3mini came back with the answer: Ruth Chris. Correcto!! It appears in Tiki’s post on 7/26/07 “Dis-n-Dat and Dinner.”
Poor Housey…got beat out by the girls…g3mini thanked her victory to her quick computer skillz.  Lucky her…she won an autographed poster of MighTy J, which we will mail to her along with the sticker that she won for Question #3.

NEXT MTJ Trivia Challenge is scheduled for Next Wednesday, OCTOBER 24th at 9pm HST or 12pm PST. Please join us in the shoutbox…See you there!!!
